• What if I want to change the approved plans in the middle of the build-out?

You may do so. However, your plans will need to be reapproved which will take more time and add to your total costs.

• How long will it take to build my home?

Every project requires different amounts of time. If you are developing raw land, it will usually take at least two years just to be able to build on that property. The time it will take to break ground depends largely on the governing agency involved.

• Will I need architectural plans?

The short answer is yes. With today's government agencies requiring more from each house, it is vital to get custom plans drawn up. Alongside the architectural plans, you will also need a structural engineer. This is different from civil engineering plans.
